Boreo in Brief

Boreo is a growth company that owns, acquires and develops B2B businesses in Northern Europe. Boreo’s Business Areas and Units act as independent businesses creating value in accordance with company specific strategies. Role of the mother company Boreo Plc is to develop the group and its Business Areas strategically and operatively. ​

Boreo’s main objective is to create shareholder value in the long-term by growing via acquisitions, creating optimal conditions for its businesses to grow sales and earnings sustainably and by being a best-in-class home for its companies and people. ​

Boreo’s operations are organized into three Business Areas:​

  • Electronics that comprises of technical distributor businesses which represent a diversified portfolio of proven third-party suppliers of quality technology solutions for defined industries in Finland, Russia and the Baltics. The brands of the Business Area include Yleiselektroniikka, YE International, Noretron Components and Milcon.​

  • Technical Trade that comprises of technical trade businesses which represent a wide range of renowned suppliers in the fields of power, metal machining and construction in Finland. The brands of the Business Area include Machinery and Muottikolmio.​

  • Heavy Machines serving customers in the infrastructure and concrete industry in Sweden, Finland and Estonia. The brands of the Business Area include PM Nordic, Tornokone and Sany Nordic.​

  • In addition to Business Areas mentioned above, Boreo’s organization includes ”Other operations” in which it operates logistics and courier services under ESKP unit (=Etelä-Suomen Kuriiripalvelut and Teitteam Oy). ESKP operates in markets of Finland and the Baltics. 

In 2020, Boreo’s pro forma sales amounted to EUR 103.6 million and the group employs over 350 persons in Finland, Sweden, Russia and the Baltics. Headquarters of Boreo is located in Vantaa, Finland.​

Boreo Plc’s stock is quoted on the main list of Nasdaq Helsinki with ticker BOREO.

Boreo’s Electronics Business Area comprises of technical distributor businesses which represent a diversified portfolio of proven third-party suppliers of quality technology solutions for defined industries in Finland, Russia and the Baltics. The businesses provide its suppliers and customers with warehousing and logistics solutions as well as technical sales & support services.​

The brands of the Business Area include Yleiselektroniikka, YE International and Noretron Components.​

Yleiselektroniikka – outside Finland known as YE International – established in 1969 is a provider of industrial components for customers in Northern Europe. The company employs c. 260 persons. Key suppliers include RS Components, Hamamatsu, TDK Lambda, TE Connectivity and Fluke.​

Noretron Components – established in 1995 - is an importer and wholesaler of AV accessories, equipment cases and electromechanical components. Key suppliers of the company are Nidec, Neutrik and Cordial. The company employs 6 persons.

Boreo’s Technical Trade Business Area comprises of technical trade businesses which represent a wide range of renowned suppliers in the fields of power, metal machining and construction in Finland. ​

The brands of the Business Area include Machinery and Muottikolmio.​

Machinery - established in 1911 - is a Finnish technical wholesaler comprising of three Business Units: Power, Metal Machining and Construction Equipment. In addition to sales of new machines and equipment to its customers, Machinery provides its customers with after sales services including repair, maintenance and spare part sales. The company is headquartered in Vantaa, Finland and employs c. 75 people.​

Muottikolmio – established in 1990 - is an import, sales and service company serving the concrete and renovation construction industry in the Finnish market. Suppliers of Muottikolmio include brands such as Isodrän, Malthus, Dywidag, Vandex and Webac. Customers of Muottikolmio include Finnish construction companies, distributors and contractors. The company is located in Vantaa, Finland and employs 6 persons.

Heavy Machines is a Business Area that comprises of the Putzmeister and Sany dealerships in Sweden, Finland and Estonia. ​

The brands of the Business Area include PM Nordic, Tornokone and Sany Nordic.​

The Business Area was formed in 2021 but through its Putzmeister dealerships in the Swedish and the Finnish market, its roots in the mounted concrete pump market with Putzmeister brand date back to 1980s​.

The product portfolio of Heavy Machines includes Putzmeister concrete pumps, stationery pumps, mortar machines, processing and transportation equipment as well as Sany earth moving equipment​.

The services of Heavy Machines cover import, sale of new and secondhand machines as well as a wide spectrum of aftermarket services​.

The companies within the Business Area employ 20 persons and its premises are located in Gothenburg, Stockholm (Sweden), Kerava (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia).
